Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn to Star in 'Day One'

Blockbuster Sequel to Hit Horror Film 'A Quiet Place'

Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o ("Black Panther," "Us") and "Stranger Things" star Joseph Quinn have joined the cast of "Day One," the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster horror film "A Quiet Place." The film, set to hit theaters on Friday, June 28, promises to be a thrilling and immersive cinematic experience.

The original "A Quiet Place," released in 2018, captivated audiences with its unique premise of a world where sound attracts deadly creatures. The sequel, "Day One," takes audiences back to the early days of the invasion, exploring the origins of the terrifying creatures and the resilience of humanity in the face of extinction.

In "Day One," Nyong'o plays a mother who must protect her children while navigating a treacherous post-apocalyptic world. Quinn portrays a young survivor who forms an unlikely alliance with Nyong'o's character. The cast also includes Djimon Hounsou ("Gladiator," "Black Adam") and Alex Wolff ("Hereditary," "Old").

"Day One" is directed by Michael Sarnoski, who previously helmed the acclaimed indie drama "The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter." The screenplay was written by Jeff Nichols ("Midnight Special," "Loving").
